Note all the Germs – aka the NyQuil Diaries

Illness is one of the most stressful times in a persons life. Whether it’s you having the mother of all flu’s or your kid spiking a temp at 5am, keeping your wits about you when you or your loved is not well is difficult. Especially as a new parent, who has yet to learn how their kid convalesces.

Kinsa, the app and the thermometer, really helps keep you keep tabs on what has been happening in the course of the illness.

While the thermometer itself is accurate and reliable the act of having to plug it in to your phone makes it difficult to use on anything squirmy, like a crying baby getting a rectal temp.  If you are going to use it for yourself its easier to just leave phone and thermometer plugged in next to you.

The app has been the most useful out of the two elements that make up the Kinsa system.  Which is great for you because the app is FREE, the thermometer will set you back $20.

The app lets you record temperature, notes, and symptoms for the whole family. When you look back on the course of the illness you will be able to accurately tell your medical expert exactly what color your nasal mucus was at 3:42am and what your temperature was at the time of the ‘sampling’.

Great for tired and stressed parents who are trying to decide how long infinity really is while their kid is crying non stop for 24hrs.
